Tomorrow (2009-06-07) in Highland Park: Highland Park Yard Sale and Bryant Street Festival
Pop City has a very nice write-up about the Park Bruges Café opening on Bryant Street in Highland Park "[b]y early next year..."
Today restaurateurs Jesse & Amy Seager of Point Brugge Café announced the name of their new restaurant, "Park Bruges Café", to open by the end of the year at 5801 Bryant Street. State Senator Jim Ferlo, Mayor Luke Ravenstahl, architects Andrew Moss and Chad Chalmers, local businesspersons Amy Enrico and Lee Gross, and representatives from Highland Park Community Development (HPCDC) and East Liberty Development, Incorporated (ELDI) participated in the ceremony as well.
Jesse & Amy Seager of Point Brugge Café will be special guests (along with Senator Jim Ferlo and Mayor Luke Ravenstahl) at a ceremonial start to construction of a new restaurant at 5801 Bryant Street in the Bryant Street business district on Friday, May 15, 2009, at 2:30 PM. Light refreshments will be served.
Tonight the HPCDC entered a formal agreement with ELDI to provide project management and construction management services to redevelop the property at 5801 Bryant Street into a restaurant and two market-rate apartments as a part of an overall strategy to revitalize the Bryant Street commercial district.
